Review of Pump Up the Volume (2001) by Mark R — 06 Oct 2007
This film anticipated so much high school mania in the states over the nineties, and in my view was where Christian Slater had his best ever role. I can relate entirely to his character who is able to be completely outrageous anonymously, but is awkward and shy in real life.
This and Heathers make a fabulous pair of coming-of-age films and send up the John Hughes set to great effect.
