I went to see this movie with my husband when it first came out. I found it so disgusting and frankly boring that for the first (and only time in my life) I walked out of the theater after about 20 minutes.
While my husband watched, I struck up a much more fascinating conversation in the lobby with an older usher from the U.K. who had been a jockey.
