Pulp Fiction is one of my favorite movies ever for the same reason that The Beatles' "A Day in the Life" is one of my favorite songs ever. They both take a tired art form, deconstruct it, put it back together again, and come up with something much more entertaining and vital than most mainstream fare.
Pulp Fiction combines great dialogue, amazing performances, crisp cinematography, and fascinating little vignettes into a unified whole, never losing entertainment value along the way.
