Review of Pulp Fiction (1994) by Sebastian M — 10 Jan 2014
Except for the buddy relationship from Jackson and Travolta (For which Jackson is clearly the highlight of this flick) and the Willis/Rhames skit, this movie has nothing else to offer but boring and dull. 3 different stories that blends into one... yet one was adequately intriguing, another was watching Riggs and Murtha argue about random stuff and the third one is simply boring as hell. The movie has nothing going for it. It has no point at all except a bunch of people having unorthodox conversations that has no appeal to them.
Overrated movie made by an overrated director (Quentin Tarantino). Just like Reservoir Dogs. Even the ending for just rambling about the same thing Jules rambled about during all the screen time he had. (God, Evil and Miracles... life wtf?) The element of intrigue became the element of redundancy.
I see that Christopher Nolan followed this formula by putting a superstar A-list cast for a movie that all talk delivers D-list material.
