Review of Pulp Fiction (1994) by Ahmad R — 29 Sep 2015
Pulp Fiction is one of those movies that keeps getting better every time you watch it. Many people are of the opinion that Quentin Tarantino's primary strength as a director is his ability to tell a riveting story.
And while that is true to a very large extent, the thing about this movie that really shines is the dialogue which is not directly related to the story itself. While portraying gangsters, many films make the mistake of oversimplifying their characters as bad to the bone.
Whereas, this movie has Jules and Vincent talking about Big Macs and "Royales with cheese" when they're not taking a hit out on somebody. The completely mundane nature of these conversations, which take place in little snippets throughout the movie is what adds dimension to the characters.
