Review of Psycho III (1986) by Erik G — 30 May 2008
An interesting sequel which is Anthony Perkins directorial debut. Perkins himself wanted the film to be shot in black & white as a homage to the original. That was a good idea as it would have given the film more of an atmosphere & probably another star in the rating.
Perkins Portrayal of Bates is one of the best things of this film though the religious elements weren't really neccesary though the story of Mrs. Bates vs. Miss Spool & who is the mother is quite clever but is blantantly obvious as a seuquel storyline.
