Review of Psycho (2007) by Christopher S — 09 May 2013
Although the premise is intriguing, the plot twist certainly unhinges the audience's nerves and the shower scene is as notorious as it is ambiguous, Psycho is certainly overrated. Its pacing is too slow to comprehend and beneath it all is a boring story with mediocre performances, that is only livened by Hitchcock's cinematographic style.
The whole film is overrated, and the first half proves this. But the second half is engaging, progressive and thorough in its thrilling horror.
