Review of Psycho (2007) by Aidan M — 31 Oct 2013
One of the best films. An absolute outrage that Perkins wasn't even nominated for an Oscar in his brilliant performance as Bates. Acting all around is top-notch and filmmaking (especially for 1960) is unbelievably smooth.
The murder scenes are really the only ones that don't hold up, and that's more of a sign of the times than anything. The dialogue is mesmerizing and the cinematography is scary good. The best horror film I've ever seen.
