Review of Psycho (2007) by Late R — 17 Mar 2018
Outstanding in every way, 'Psycho' is an absolute masterpiece of filmmaking, boasting not only THAT iconic shower scene, but a whole array of other factors that are equally as impressive and important to establishing the creepy, unnerving and incredibly tense atmosphere.
Apart from the masterful directing from Hitchcock, it also has exceptional performances from Perkins and Leigh, a chilling score, and a superbly written story with smart dialogue fitting of the characters, as well as a fantastic conclusion.
A real classic that blazed the trail for countless horror flicks to follow -- watch it, be in awe of it, and then proceed to be forever suspicious of any motel/hotel with shower curtains on their showers.
