Review of Psycho (2007) by Marshall L — 20 Mar 2015
Shock ending aside, Hitchcock has been better. Even homages to Hitchcock have more verve than this piece of tabloid trash. Everyone knows the plot: Marion Crane steals a business owner's slush fund and sets off across the country with the money, when she gets sleepy and decides to stop off at that sleepy little inn off the highway.
The problem with this movie is that it's a slasher film masquerading as high art. If you want visual style and depth rent Vertigo or find a DVD of Alfred Hitchcock presents.
