A masterpiece of several different items: a masterpiece of cinema, horror cinema and of Alfred Hitchcock. There isn't much gore in the movie, but Hitchcock still manages to give us psychological chills with the fucked up serial killer and motel owner Norman Bates.
And the fact that it's in black and white just makes it more chilling. It's truly a classic of cinema. Very recommended !!!
