Review of Prozac Nation (2003) by Janna L — 03 Jan 2009
I am surprised they made this into a movie, especially after reading the book. I struggled to get through the book, almost painstakingly, just as I struggled to get through the movie.
Too much of what happens in this "character-driven" movie occurs within the head of the character which is tiresome to try to figure out watching the movie. In other words, if you sit there and watch this movie you will be somewhat left in the dark even with all the voice overs. If you read the book, you'll understand it better but it still lacks, to me anyway, any mouth-gaping moments.
