Review of Prozac Nation (2003) by A M — 11 Jul 2010
You know something's missing from the source material when Prozac, the namesake of the original memoir, is only brought into the last 15 minutes of the movie adaptation. The author herself has said that she thought this movie was, "Horrible," if IMDB is to be believed.
As for my thoughts? It was decent. Christina Ricci gave it her all and it shows. But there's only so many emotional outbursts you can take before your start to question whether this story is going to make any progress.
It felt a bit like Basketball Diaries lite, to make a comparison.
