Review of Proud Mary (2018) by Farah R — 08 Nov 2018
The problem with Proud Mary is everything except Taraji P. Henson. She proved herself capable of being an action star even when this flawed, disastrous attempt at a retro action thriller does little to showcase her talent.
The movie suffers in more ways than can be listed, but for one thing the narrative was appalling. The cinematography and editing did further damage instead of enhance and the soundtrack didn't fit in the movie.
I'd like to see Henson in more action roles so long as they're nothing like Proud Mary.
