Review of Proof (1980) by Alicia C — 10 Nov 2007
This is a quiet movie - understated, solid, very well done. It's almost meta in the way it plays with time, mimicking the disorientation of a deterioriating mind. Beautiful cinematography and some clever editing, not to mention a very haunting musical score.
The casting is off, even though all three leads turn out more than decent performances - Anthony, Gwyneth and Jake do well individually, but they don't quite mesh together. Nevertheless, a very nice movie that's not too long and worth the watch anyhow.
