Review of Proof (1980) by Sancha E — 15 Jun 2008

I watched this when it was released in 2004, I was hesitant at first because it was centered around math. I recently watched it since our library has the film so I was like, "what the heck, might as well watch it again." And I'm glad I did.

I forgot how the story turned out until I watched it again. I was sort of confused for the first few flashbacks because I didn't realize that they were flashbacks. I loved Jake Gyllenhaal in Proof as well as Gwyneth Paltrow (probably my favorite film that starred her thus far). The story is interesting and at times very emotional, which I didn't mind. This is the first film (I think) that I've seen with Anthony Hopkins and he is everything and more.

My recommandation: watch it, ESPECIALLY if one of your favorite subjects is math.
