It feels like living inside someone's revenge fantasy; in this case, Cassandra's. Every line sounds just like what she wishes it would sound like, every reaction. Was expecting an Oscar winner and Promising Young Woman didn't quite deliver it.
However, the visuals did not fall short at all and I probably would've appreciated the movie a bit more if it didn't carry the weight of the expectations from being an Oscar winner.
