Not a bad movie, but when you see that its Gus Van Sant, you expect a little more. Matt Damon's performance it good, not great, but good. You can really see the emotion he has about his old farm and town.
But hands down Hal Holbrook gives an amazing performance. He is on screen for a short amount of time, but he really steals it. John Krasinski, I feel is the weak link in this chain, he's performance as an environmentalist is terrible.
Overall the movie was fine, not great but just fine, it also helps the fact that the run time is just over 100 minutes.
