Review of Promised Land (2012) by Derek B. C — 28 May 2013

This was not nearly as liberal as I expected from a Matt Damon film. Without giving away any plot points, the movie does leave the general impression of unethical corporations. Sadly, some corporations are unethical so I cannot take issue with that general point.

However, the film, in a late scene, does admit that all outcomes of corporate endeavors are not bad. For a Damon film, that is a huge step toward even-handedness. Given that treatment, I can say I really liked this movie with offering any strong caveats at the same time.
