Review of Project Nim (2011) by Jessyca F — 12 Mar 2012
"Revolting and disturbing" seems to be a legit way to describe it. I have loads of mixed feelings towards this film, mainly for endorsing on such cruel story. Nevertheless, as a documentary it works just great.
The language is, for itself, an achievement for the genre; very dynamic. And as for the "endorsing" part, some stories must be told. As cruel as it was (is), people should know. It's just a shame that story even happened in the first place.
I study communication, but this is just ridiculous. This is not much of a review since all I did was rant about personal feelings. It's more of a statement. It is hard to keep quiet when confronted with such important issue.
Therefore, summarizing, and for the passionate reaction this film evoked on me, I believe it to be a well-succeed (to say at least) documentary.
