Review of Project Almanac (2015) by James O — 18 Mar 2015
A group of high school students find a partially built time machine that was left hidden in the basement of one of their homes. After finding an old video camera left in the attic they see footage that leads them to the hidden time machine. This movie is directed by Dean Israelite and start Jonny Weston and Sofia Black-D'Elia.
A group of high school students build a time machine and guess what, they do exactly what you would expect high school students to do. Fix bad grades, go to epic parties in the past, hook up with their wanna be girl friend, win the lottery. Oh and then wait......shit goes bad. Shocker huh?!? Project Almanac doesn't bring us anything new. It takes Chronicle and Butterfly Effect, puts them into a movie blender, and we now have this. Is it a horrible movie, no. It is completely forgettable though.
What would you do if you had a time machine, I would use it to get my two hours back I spent at the theater watching this.
