Review of Project Almanac (2015) by Ken S — 24 Sep 2015
The found footage angle is completely wasted on this film, and adds nothing to the plot. After the first half of the film, they forget their doing it and the characters are still filmed although no one is there to do it (camera laying on the ground).
It wasn't a bad film but it obviously stole much of its plot from the far better Butterfly Effect (the first one, not the lame sequels). It even has the time travel beginning at a child's birthday party, as the former film used as well for a pivotal time travel point.
It's mildly entertaining, go watch Butterfly Effect if you want to see it done well.
