Review of Prizzi's Honor (1985) by Vito D — 14 Jan 2008
One of the worst movies to have been nominated for a number of Oscars. Intended to be a comedy, this movie lacked humour. Maybe if the casting was done properly, it could have been a really good movie.
Jack Nicholson is a great actor but this is his worst offering. He can't do an Italian, New Jersey or Brooklyn accent to save his ass! The only bright spot in this movie is Anjelica Huston, who was convincing as an Italian-American and a worthy winner of the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
