Review of Private Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous (2008) by Summer B — 04 Sep 2009

Lord help me I got sucked in when this was on tv las night. I mean when you the opinions you have about jessica simpson the characters in the movie are expressing about her character it sets you up.

So this is essentially a little bit Troop Beverly Hills and a little bit army comedy (take your pick). I definitely got a Goldie Hawn vibe and I think that was intentional. I can picture her agent telling her that to be taken seriously in hollywood the best thing to do is follow a carear path of someone simular who's done it first...and plucky, somewhat dim, but determinded blonde was Hawn.

I got that same feeling I got watching Troop Beverly hills and whatever the name of that Army movie with Pauly Shore was.

So...strangely enjoyable but very little substance.
