Prisoners is a fantastic, we'll made and overall gripping film. Where prisoners excels is it's acting, direction and cinematography. Hugh jackman is absolutely fantastic in the role as a father pushed to the edge as he tries to get his daughters back.

Jake Gyllenhaal is also fantastic as the cop on the case. All around the performances are just fantastic. The whole movie is fantastic, but where prisoners goes from a 4.5/5 to a 5/5 is it's final act.

My eyes were glued to the screen as the tension mounted and mounted and the pay off was one of the best that I've seen in a long time. Looking back this is my favourite movie of 2013. A+.
