Review of Prisoners (2013) by Shawn M — 20 Jul 2014

I had heard good things about this movie, but I was surprised how much I liked it. All the actors were great, especially Hugh Jackman. I thought this was a bit outside of his usual roles for Jake Gyllenhaal but he nailed it. I hope he does more of these dramas.

I will admit, I'm a bit disappointed in the end. Would it have been so hard to give the film another 2 or 5 minutes? One thing is for sure, my wife will never watch this film because it'll give her nightmares. The first time in a long time I was yelling at the screen.
