Let's just get this out of the way. Jake Gyllenhaal is one of the greatest actors of all time, and always delivers a phenomenal performance.
This whole movie is so intense, that you are on the edge of your seat. The mystery is very intriguing, and you are figuring it out along the way, and enjoying yourself doing so. It is also filled with, not just excellent performances, but very powerful ones as well. And the writing is just so great. It has a great story, with a great ending, and the dialogue is excellent and keeps you interested. It has phenomenal cinematography, and is excellently directed by Denis Villenueve. This whole movie is brilliantly dark and intense, and has excellent performances, direction, cinematography, and writing.
