Review of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2010) by Christopher S — 12 Feb 2012
While I can appreciate Mike Newell trying to stay with the video game roots as much as possible, this film left much to be desired. First of all, Jake Gyllenhaal was not a very good casting choice for the Prince.
Not only that, the Prince is not suppose to have a name! The backstory of him being adopted off the street was not very believable either. Ben Kingsley cannot save the film from total disaster as the evil uncle, and that is really saying something.
Gemma Arterton is smoking hot and she was very sexy in this film and her English accent was pretty sweet too but this film was not very good. The video game was much much better. I would not recommend buying this on DVD.
