Review of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2010) by Shane S — 22 Oct 2015

Continues Hollywood's streak of video game adaptation misfires. It betrays its source material, aided by the series creator Jordan Mechner no less, and that's the biggest disappointment of the film.

Jake Gyllenhaal does an admirable job but was miscast from the beginning. Gemma Arterton was also miscast. The whole film's cast, which aren't terrible, have been sort of white-washed, which robs the film of some authority and authenticity.
