Review of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2010) by Christine C — 05 Apr 2013

The Parkour was great, the actors were pretty good but the plot wasn't one of those which actually leave an impression to the audience. It's like wind, for the most part. It doesn't really make that much difference.

After you've seen it, you won't even bother to think of it again. Half of the lines were great though and I must admit, even though from the very start the people have already predicted that Tamina and Dastan will be together, it was still lovely to see the transition of the events until they have realized that they actually have feelings for one another.

I believe that the graphics were good and not really overwhelming. It was also a huge positive act to make everything Dastan did irrelevant because he was able to undo it all again but still retaining his memory since he's the one responsible for going back in time.

One part which I truly loathe was the time when there was a stand storm and there was a tent built by Dastan. Well, you've probably seen it so you'll understand when I say it did not really produced any benefit for the film's entirety.

There was no strong emotion coming out of it where there should be because the background was being told there. With all these things in mind, I think it's worth watching if you don't have tons of workloads.

Jake tried his best to do a justice to Dastan's accent and Gemma did a wonderful job playing as a princess who's brave and gentle at the same time. The story was sort of limited but even though it doesn't offer much substance, viewers can still enjoy it for its stunts, characters and dialogues.
