One of Carpenter's most out-there films, with a whole lot of pseudo-religious discussions that would be tedious in the hands of a lesser filmmaker. But thankfully he keeps everything creepy and interesting, with a fucking fantastic final half hour. Certainly a underrated little gem.
Though why is Alice Cooper in this? Seriously, that guy hasn't been relevant since Ford was in office.
