Review of Prince of Darkness (1987) by Evan B — 06 Jan 2011
While most belive that it is not great as a whole film, I belive that this is easily Carpenter's scarriest flick. Had regular nightmare for years till I got the DVD of this film and watched it enough to "face my fears" successfully.
Ok acting, great direction, and good ideas which predate films like ANGELS AND DEMONS. Even more interesting is that unlike a good majority of films, this film shows religion and science working togeather to defeat evil - something pretty rare.
Especialy with this film having a more Bible-based antagonist (unlike POLTERGEIST). Defiently underrated.
