Review of Prince of Darkness (1987) by Stefano C — 12 Aug 2011
A kind of boring film from John Carpenter. The setup is great and has some interesting ideas, especially the notion of the evil one transmitting messages from the future through the characters dreams. After the strong opening, the film just becomes a pretty standard evil presence taking over people and killing the other people.
He explored similar themes of paranoia much more effectively in The Thing. I did like the typically Carpenter electronic score.
