Review of Prince of Darkness (1987) by Lorrie K — 06 Dec 2012

A special little taste of 80s weirdness from one of the true masters of horror. There are some promising scenes, hints of the greatness to come in The Thing and a great integration of audio and visual eeriness reminiscent of Halloween. I am sure Alice Cooper was thrilled to be the one to first draw blood. Donald Pleasance plays himself as usual. Those who subscribe to the Alien Ant-farm theory of creation might benefit greatly from this alien war between devil as Gatorade and e.t. Jesus.

Just one thing - close your mouth for crying out loud!
