Review of Primer (2004) by Richard V — 15 Apr 2011
It starts off with slightly annoying dialogue and unpolished acting (lots of interruptions done awkwardly), but the atmosphere is strong enough to allow you to push through this and begin to take in the story.
As things build up it becomes absolutely gripping. It becomes very confusing towards the end, but the premise and visuals are strong enough to carry you through this. I had to read a summary after watching it to figure out what had happened at the end, but I still absolutely loved this movie, mostly for the premise and the brilliant new take on an old sci-fi concept (don't want to spoil.
..) that drives it.
