What a mess! "Prime" is a romantic comedy that has a sense of neither romance nor humor. Our "hero" degrades women and has little concern for a history of tawdry sex, but we're led to be inspired by his quest to make a living on his gritty depressing paintings.

The "jokes" are flat, mindless and unimaginative. What is the story? It's about how people fail to learn from past screwed-up backgrounds and continue to mess up their own lives and those of others.
