Review of Prime (2005) by David S — 16 May 2010
Honest and non-Hollywood, I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. That's not to say it was anything near perfect. So many supporting characters were just so 2-dimensional or came out of left field.
The dialogue was a little weak. And the execution wasn't anything special. But I really enjoyed the plot and the twists along this journey for David, Rafi, and Lisa. More drama than comedy, I very much liked how they addressed both the appeal and pitfalls of a May-August relationship and the religious complications.
There were a few laugh out loud moments ("Do you like having sex? Don't buy the Nintendo.") And overall I was quite entertained.
