Review of Prime (2005) by Lemuel M — 18 Jun 2010
A therapeutic new comedy.
GREAT SOUNDTRACK! I want to shout that statement to the whole world. Imagine the lights and streets of Manhattan combined to the relaxing music brought to us by Ryan Shore.
Very "coincidencey". And I think that's too much for the film. Conflicts are good but when they are too many and does not complement each other, it is a gumbo. But the acting antics of Streep and Thurman just melt your heart. Their humor was effortless.
The whole setup of Manhattan, soothing music, Thurman being effectively depressed, maturity all those stuff cover the flaws of the film. But the entertainment is not only brought by the film. We somehow entertain ourselves by asking ourselves should this relationship continue?
I personally think it should not continue then the ending cames and I am satisfied by it. One of the greatest ending scenes for me.
