Review of Primary Colors (1998) by Chris H — 27 Jul 2012
Just brilliant in every way -- first-rate performances from Travolta, Kathy Bates & Billy-Bob Thornton make it easy and addictive to watch over & over again. A compelling, fictional behind-the-scenes look at what goes on behind the candidate's run for office raises the philosophical question: "Does the end justify the means?" Is it OK to do bad things so you can get elected and do good things?
This thoughtful, shocking, hilarious movie is required viewing for my senior seminar students.
