Review of Primary Colors (1998) by Just S — 30 May 2010
I wasnâ??t sure what to expect when I stumbled upon this movie on television at midnight, but it must have been fate because I stayed up until 3 AM to watch this fantastic film. An in-depth look at the dark side of politics, Primary Colors tells a story based on the escapades of Bill Clinton full of scandals and political warfare.
The casting was well done; all of the actors were well-suited for their roles. I have never been a huge Travolta fan, but his acting as Jack Stanton was flawless, the role was almost tailored for him.
I thought it was a great decision to centralize the plot around Henry Burton, his perspective and position in the story provided an excellent look at the rest of the characters. The script was also powerfully designed, I absolutely loved Libbyâ??s monologue where she outlashed at Stanton.
That scene had some beautiful lines regarding integrity and corruption. Overall, this film is driven by a strong plot and top-notch acting, definitely worth a watch.
