Review of Primal Fear (1996) by Sunil J — 28 Feb 2009
I've seen this film quite a few times, so I just watched it again the other night to pass the time by. A typical courtroom drama starring Richard Gere as an attorney defending Edward Norton (in his Oscar nominated role) who is accused of murdering an archbishop.
This has a good cast with actors like Laura Linney, Alfre Woodard, and Frances McDormand and a clever script (perhaps a little too clever at times, but oh well). Probably could've gone without the whole side story with the mobster guy, but oh well, not much harm done there.
Nice surprise at the ending that's not one of those completely insane twists.
