Review of Priest (2011) by Darren C — 22 Jun 2012

I seem to be dishing out a lot of 3 stars for movie ratings recently but priest was neither terrible or masterclass movie making, it did a brilliant job of creating it's post apocalyptic, dilapidated, futuristic world and the fact they made the vampires look like something out of an alien movie rather than your typical well dressed, neck biting Dracula types was a refreshing change, yet it failed to create any genuine threat or suspense with many of it's action scenes, that may have something to do with it's 12a rating? trying to get it's graphic novel youth crowd in perhaps? stick an 18 on it, bit of swearing and more graphic slash em action sequences and priest could of been so much better.
