IF YOU LIKED LEGION, you'll like this. Same star and director. I did like Legion. This has much more committed acting, directing and VFX (Phil Tippet) than the average low-ball B-movie fantasy. How many B movies have Paul, Karl Urban, Maggie Q and Christopher Plummer in them? VFX by the guy was a VFX supervisor on Blade Runner and Iron Man and John Wick 4? Where this and various Underworld movies go off track is TONE.
The tone is merely bombastic. NOBODY LEARNS ANYTHING. So no character arcs at all.
