Review of Priest (2011) by Noah R — 27 Jun 2013
Some good action scenes with really really good visual effects. The plot setup and world created are equally good. However, they decided to fill that world with a mediocre story/writing and awkward pacing. The style/tone is fitting (though a bit dark.
THe acting was also good, but not spectacular by any means. The whole potential was under-utilized and it cost some of the enjoyment.
Lots of action cliches are in there, whether thats a good or bad thing depends on who you are.
If a sequel or another story takes place within this same world, it needs to be fully explored and fleshed out.
Overall, the film was mediocre, but had potential to be significantly better.
