First impressions afer watching it are that its spends far too much time putting foundations down for a sequel throughout the movie, again telling you too many explantions for why things are etc... it felt like they needed to say it for the sake of it.
... trying too hard is all it feels like, and falls short because of it. I only watched it for karl Urban, and he thankfully came out of this smelling of roses even with his cheesy bounty hunter style vampire, unfortunately the rest is quite bleak and feels a missed opportunity.
