Review of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (2016) by Ryne D — 06 Feb 2016

If you're a fan of the book like I am you will likely be disappointed. Some of my favorite moments from the book were no shows in the film version. While that's heart breaking, I have to remember it's a four hour book condensed into a little over an hour and a half movie.

As for the film itself, it's not bad. Most of the action scenes are good, and the adapted storyline does its job. The real highlights are the actors, Lily James is perfect as Lizzy Bennet and Sam Riley's performance as Darcy grew on me.

Charles Dance seems to enjoy playing the more likable patriarch of the Bennet family, having portrayed the tyrannical Tywinn Lannister on Game of Thrones. I just wish these fantastic performances were in a better overall movie.
