Review of Pride and Glory (2008) by Paul M — 14 Apr 2009

Formulaic cop drama that's occasionally gripping, but for the most part pretty forgettable and insanely stupid.

The cast put in solid performances and the direction is suitably gritty, but you'll have a strong sense of deja vu through-out due to the totally unoriginal and uninspired script. As such you'll not really care about the story nor its key characters. If I was going to be hyper-critical I'd even say that at times it feels like the stars know the script ain't that great and put in a bit too much effort to over compensate.

I was going to give it a solid 3 stars, but I've removed 1 due to its god awful ending.
