Review of Pride and Glory (2008) by Robert W — 22 Jul 2009
Movies including plot elements such as inner city police, corruption, and drugs tend to be gritty and Pride and Glory was certainly no exception. That said, performances by Edward Norton and Noah Emmerich were outstanding as two brothers of a muti-generational police family caught up in something potentially devestating, not only to the Teirney family, but the entire NYPD as well.
There was no surprises about the plot, but the acting made the movie. This was probably the best role I've seen Emmerich play, and one of Norton's better ones.
