Review of Pride and Glory (2008) by Brian R — 28 Sep 2009
Much as most critics have opined, "Pride And Glory" is worn material. If you've seen a few middle-of-the-road bad cop dramas since the late 1990's, there is really nothing to see here.
That being said, "Pride And Glory" is not a bad film. It has it's moments of intrigue that might hold your attention through an initial viewing. Edward Norton is as good as he's ever been.
John Ortiz shows why he deserves meatier roles in his future. Colin Farrell shows that he can kind of act. All that aside, "Pride And Glory" is one of those films that looks great in the trailer, but never really materializes into anything that you will remember.
