Unengaging and frankly plain ole boring family police drama that has an air of arrogance about it. Theres a vibe tgat those involved think theyre making something really new and special but its been done before and better.
Plus its too long. Voight is great but underused and farrel is bit too shouty and almost panto like in his villainy. Plus I kept thinking he looks a lot like robbie williams. The less saud about the laughable scene where it suddenly turns into fight club the better.
Avoid. Watch the departed again instead.
